Summary of the month - July :

Month closed.
Overview :
- Profit: 7.36%
- Maximum drawdown: 5%.
- Winning trades: 72%
- Profit factor: 1.73
- Recovery Factor: 2.61
- Total sharpe Ratio: 0.13

What needs to be improved: The risk / return ratio.

Normally, when a better risk / return ratio is desired, the rate of winning trades tends to decrease. Knowing this, I will try to improve this rate, but without reducing the amount of winning trades that could compromise the performance of the account in the month.

The expectations are the best.

Let's go then !!!

Our basic principle is transparency.
From this website, you can view various statistics created directly from my trading history. No manipulations, no hidden operations, no push forward drawdown operations creating false positive results.

Important Notice :

Good Morning !!
Due to the changes that will occur at the end of July in relation to the margin required for operations and the need to change the type of investment account, I will be opening a new account from August. The current account will remain available for performance queries and evaluation of the operation profile.
At the end of the month, I will make a general summary of these 6 months of operations.

Important Notice :

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has formally adopted new measures on the provision of contracts for differences (CFDs) and binary options to retail investors.

The measures have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJ) today. They will start to apply from 2 July 2018 for binary options and from 1 August 2018 for CFDs and will apply as follows:

1. Binary Options (from 2 July 2018) - a prohibition on the marketing, distribution or sale of binary options to retail investors; and

2. Contracts for Differences (from 1 August 2018) - a restriction on the marketing, distribution or sale of CFDs to retail investors. This restriction consists of: leverage limits on opening positions; a margin close out rule on a per account basis; a negative balance protection on a per account basis; preventing the use of incentives by a CFD provider; and a firm specific risk warning delivered in a standardised way.

ESMA has adopted these measures in the official languages of the EU and they will remain in force for a period of three months from the date of application.

Steven Maijoor, Chair, said:

“The measures ESMA has taken today are a significant step towards greater investor protection in the EU. The new measures on CFDs will, for the first time, ensure that investors cannot lose more money than they put in, restrict the use of leverage and incentives, and provide understandable risk warnings for investors.

“ESMA’s prohibition on the marketing, distribution or sale of binary options to retail investors addresses the significant investor protection concerns caused by the characteristics of this product.

“This pan-EU approach is the most appropriate way to address this major investor protection issue. NCAs will monitor the impact of these measures during their application and will assess, with ESMA, what next steps are required.”

CFDs – measures from 1 August 2018

The product intervention measures ESMA has adopted under Article 40 of the Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation include:

1. Leverage limits on the opening of a position by a retail client from 30:1 to 2:1, which vary according to the volatility of the underlying:

· 1:30 for major currency pairs;

· 1:20 for non-major currency pairs, gold and major indices;

· 1:10 for commodities other than gold and non-major equity indices;

· 1:5 for individual equities and other reference values;

 . 1:2·  for cryptocurrencies;

2. A margin close out rule on a per account basis. This will standardise the percentage of margin (at 50% of minimum required margin) at which providers are required to close out one or more retail client’s open CFDs;

3. Negative balance protection on a per account basis. This will provide an overall guaranteed limit on retail client losses;

4. A restriction on the incentives offered to trade CFDs; and

5. A standardised risk warning, including the percentage of losses on a CFD provider’s retail investor accounts.

Next steps

MiFIR gives ESMA the power to introduce temporary intervention measures on a three monthly basis. Before the end of the three months, ESMA will review the product intervention measures and consider the need to extend them for a further three months.

Important Notice.

Hello !!
All signs in MQL5, however good or bad, will always have good and bad ratings. Everything will depend on whether the subscriber's moment of entry was the right time, the subscriber's own risk management, the size of the subscriber's account (since it may have great percentage gains, but may not pay the subscription fee for being a account has low value) or if the provider is bad anyway, in short, everyone has their good or bad experience with the same signal provider. There are several data available to make an appropriate assessment that the signal will meet your expectations and if it is in accordance with your investment profile. Be careful !!

As I said before, at one point I used the martingale / grid technique and the risk went up considerably, staying above what I want for that account. This happened in just one opportunity, and ran away from my investment profile.
At the time, the maximum drawdown of the account had a peak rising from 4.33% to 11.54%. This maximum drawdown, as I said, was one due to a peak, because in the normal situation it does not exceed 5%.
I want to reaffirm my commitment to myself that I will not use such techniques again, because as everyone here knows, making use of martingale is only a matter of time to have a broken account.

Thank you.

Obrigado.
